01

Prepare the common request

Describe whether the purchase is covering replacement or a complete plastic greenhouse. Record dimensions and bay layout, frame condition, crop application, local wind or snow load basis, ventilation and climate-control scope. Identify who supplies the foundation and who verifies the structure design. A drawing or measurement schedule can be discussed after initial contact; this form does not accept uploads.

02

Ask factories the same questions

Set material, thickness, optical requirements, quantity and unit basis in one brief. Request minimum order quantity, available cut sizes, sampling terms and a technical data sheet for the proposed covering. Ask which specification is standard and which requires a separate production arrangement. Supplier availability, credentials and sample access remain subject to confirmation; matching a request does not certify the supplier.

03

Separate exclusions from alternatives

Have suppliers name packing, roll handling, freight, destination charges, documents and installation exclusions. Keep a proposed panel or thicker film as a separate alternative rather than silently substituting it into the original line. Compare factory price with factory price, or delivered scope with delivered scope. A cheaper roll may involve a different cut layout, additional joints or a changed attachment method.

04

Confirm the handover before ordering

State the required seasonal date and the US destination. Ask the supplier to distinguish production readiness from transport timing, and record the agreed responsibility for damage inspection, claims and replacement material. Your installer should assess fixing compatibility and safe access. Rural Bridge Sourcing helps coordinate these questions; it does not replace a local engineer, installer or customs adviser.

Use the procurement checklist alongside the covering inquiry options. A budget may be per roll, per area or for the whole order, but the currency and unit must be explicit. Premium, mid-range and budget-friendly are buyer preferences to discuss, not supplier ratings.

Bring the open questions into the inquiry

There is no need to have a quotation already. Send your specification gaps, quantity, destination and desired delivery stage so the request can begin with the decisions that matter.
